How to organize your life in the lab and the files on your computer as a chemist

Dr. Robert Giessmann

Fair4Chem Award 2022 Preisträger

Abstract: Did you ever feel that technology should support you when working in the lab, and it shouldn’t be you fighting against it all the time? How much did you actively learn about organizing your workflows in the lab and on your computer until now? In this talk, Robert will share some easy practices that can make your life in the lab much easier, and gives recommendations on where to invest in. Technology can actually support you in making your workflow smoothly, if you organize your files properly. By being as open as possible, as closed as necessary, you can generate immense gains not only for others, but also for you personally. This talk is focused on chemistry labs and the techniques most of us routinely use. You will have the chance to ask your personal questions and discuss with each other and dedicated experts on how to organize your life in the lab – and the files on your computer.
